Navy's Aegis-Class Radar Component
Contract Awarded to Ferrite.
FMT has been awarded a multi-year contract by the Naval
Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division for the Evaluation,
Repair and/or Replacement of the SPG-62 fire control radar
waveguide assembly on Aegis-class ships. The SPG-62
operates as a component of the MK-99 Fire Control System
which controls the continuous wave illuminating radar and
target illumination guidance of SM-2 Anti-Air missiles. FMT's
technical aptitude and exceptional quality record spanning
28 years of service to the military radar community were
critical factors leading to the award.
