The use of conventional cooking systems with microwave energy boosting the
internal
temperatures has become a widely accepted process. This process can increase
throughput by 30% to current processes. The product quality is enhanced due to
the
volumetric heating of the product.
Recent installations have included enhancing meatball
cooking operations. The result is higher yields,
improved quality, and for a given footprint, much higher
throughput. The MIP9 Booster recently increased the
throughput of a new Heat and Control Cooker for
meatballs from 2500 lbs./hr to 4000 lbs./hr at 75 kW.
Future installations will include a variety of products
from poultry to beef.
